Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry is volunteer group committed to helping and assisting the grieving by providing the following services:

  • Family members contacted with the expression of condolences
  • Lunch meat platters offered and delivered to the home
  • The day of the funeral service a Bereavement meal is prepared and served in McFadden Hall
  • Provide flowers for the luncheon tables
  • Set up luncheon and deliver any leftover food to the Rescue Mission
  • Follow up with family members during the first year:
  • Five cards are sent as well as a Mass card and inspirational booklets
  • Invitations are sent out to families for All Souls Day Mass
  • Frames with the poem “Safely Home” are presented to each family
  • A flower is presented to each parishioner that is in attendance of the All Souls Day Mass

We meet several times a year to plan All Souls Day and general updates.
